Morakniv Amberg
The Mora Amberg series is designed for outdoor users who want a stronger and more capable knife for regular use in the field. Sitting above entry level models, Amberg knives combine a thicker blade, improved handle design and practical outdoor features while still keeping the simplicity Morakniv is known for.
All Amberg knives feature a 109 mm blade with a thickness of 3.2 mm, giving them more strength for tougher outdoor tasks such as carving wood, preparing kindling and general camp work. The blades use a traditional Scandi grind which provides excellent control when working with wood and is easy to maintain in the field.
The series is built around Swedish knife making experience from Mora and uses carefully selected steels. Stainless steel versions use Swedish 12C27 steel which offers strong corrosion resistance and reliable edge retention. Carbon steel versions use C100S steel which takes a very sharp edge and performs well for bushcraft style tasks. Some models also feature a DLC coated blade which helps protect the steel and reduces reflections.
A key feature of the Amberg range is the redesigned handle. It uses a three component construction with a polypropylene core and an outer TPE layer which provides both strength and a comfortable grip. The flatter handle shape and textured surface help maintain control even in cold or wet conditions.
The spine of the blade is ground square so it can be used with a ferro rod for fire lighting, making the Amberg a practical choice for camping, bushcraft and longer outdoor trips. Each knife comes with a durable polymer sheath that can be used by both right and left handed users.
Built in Mora, Sweden, the Amberg range offers a balance of durability, comfort and versatility for hikers, campers and outdoor users who want a dependable knife for regular use.
