Can I use this upgrade kit with other crossbows?

Unfortunately not, Only Adders can be upgraded with this kit. 

How does the new longer cocking arm make cocking easier?

With extra length comes extra leverage, Even though the draw weight has increased substantially the new cocking arms make cocking the Adder quicker and easier.
