Mora Risberg Stainless Steel - Blueberries
Description / Mora Risberg Stainless Steel - Blueberries
The Mora Risberg Stainless Steel is a compact outdoor knife designed for everyday use in the field. It is lightweight, easy to carry and suitable for a wide range of outdoor tasks including hiking, fishing, camping and general camp work. Its balanced size makes it approachable as a first serious outdoor knife while still offering the reliability expected from Morakniv.
The 91 mm blade is made from Swedish 12C27 stainless steel produced by Alleima. This steel is well known for taking a very sharp edge while remaining easy to maintain in the field. The classic Scandi grind gives excellent control when carving wood, preparing food or working on smaller camp tasks. The blade runs close into the handle which improves control when working near the edge.
The handle is made from durable polypropylene which resists moisture, dirt and cold conditions. Its ergonomic shape sits securely in the hand and includes a finger guard for safer use during longer tasks. A lanyard hole at the end of the handle allows the knife to be attached to cord or paracord if required.
The supplied polymer sheath uses a secure click lock system to keep the knife safely in place during transport. It can be worn on either the right or left side and can also attach directly to the button on outdoor trousers for quick access while working around camp.
Produced in Mora, Sweden, the Risberg continues Morakniv’s long tradition of practical knives built for real outdoor use.

FAQ
How does the Mora Risberg compare to the Mora Companion Stainless
The Mora Risberg and Mora Companion Stainless are both versatile outdoor knives made in Sweden and both use the same 12C27 stainless steel with a traditional Scandi grind. This means their cutting performance and sharpening characteristics are very similar.
The main differences come down to size and handle design.
The Risberg has a 91 mm blade that is around 2 mm thick which keeps the knife lighter and more compact. It is designed to be easy to carry and well suited to general outdoor tasks such as food preparation, carving and small camp jobs.
The Companion Stainless is slightly larger with a blade around 104 mm long and about 2.5 mm thick. This gives it a bit more strength for heavier camp work such as processing wood or tougher cutting tasks.
The handles are also different. The Risberg uses a durable polymer handle which is simple and tough, while the Companion uses a rubber grip over polymer which many users find slightly more comfortable during long periods of use.
Both knives use the same Scandi grind which provides excellent control when carving and is very easy to sharpen in the field.
Which one should I choose
Choose the Mora Risberg if you want a lighter and more compact knife that is easy to carry on hikes or everyday outdoor trips.
Choose the Mora Companion Stainless if you prefer a slightly larger knife with a thicker blade and a rubber grip for extended outdoor use.
