Mora Risberg Stainless Steel - Deep Forests
Description / Mora Risberg Stainless Steel - Deep Forests
The Mora Risberg Stainless Steel is a compact outdoor knife designed for everyday use in the field. Lightweight and easy to carry, it suits a wide range of outdoor tasks including hiking, fishing, camping and general camp work. Its balanced size makes it approachable as a first serious outdoor knife while still offering the reliability expected from Morakniv.
The 91 mm blade is made from Swedish 12C27 stainless steel produced by Alleima. This steel takes a sharp edge easily and remains straightforward to maintain in the field. The classic Scandi grind provides excellent control when carving wood, preparing food or working on smaller camp tasks. The blade runs close into the handle which improves control when working near the edge.
The handle is made from durable polypropylene which resists moisture, dirt and cold conditions. Its ergonomic shape sits securely in the hand and includes a finger guard for safer use during longer tasks. A lanyard hole at the end of the handle allows the knife to be attached to cord or paracord if required.
The supplied polymer sheath uses a secure click lock system to hold the knife firmly in place. It can be worn on either the right or left side and can also attach directly to the button on outdoor trousers, making it quick to access while working around camp.
Produced in Mora, Sweden, the Risberg continues Morakniv’s long tradition of practical knives built for real outdoor use.

FAQ
How does the Mora Risberg compare to the Mora Robust Pro (12249)
The Mora Risberg and Mora Robust Pro are both durable outdoor knives designed for practical use, but they are built with slightly different priorities.
The Risberg is designed as a lighter and more compact outdoor knife. It has a 91 mm blade made from Swedish 12C27 stainless steel and a blade thickness of 2 mm. This keeps the knife light and easy to carry while still offering excellent control for carving, food preparation and general camp tasks.
The Robust Pro (12249) is built as a tougher working knife aimed more at construction and heavier duty tasks. It has a thicker blade at around 3.2 mm and uses carbon steel, which is known for toughness and ease of sharpening but requires more maintenance to prevent rust.
Another difference is the handle construction. The Robust Pro has a thicker rubberised grip designed for heavy use and strong hand protection, while the Risberg uses a durable polymer handle that keeps the knife lighter and more compact for outdoor carry.
Both knives use a Scandinavian grind, which provides good control for woodworking and is simple to sharpen.
Which one should I choose
Choose the Mora Risberg if you want a lighter stainless steel outdoor knife that is easy to carry on hikes, camping trips and everyday outdoor use.
Choose the Mora Robust Pro if you need a thicker blade and a heavier duty knife designed for tougher work and construction style tasks.
